ECBackup is a archiver with strong-security, based on open key technology. It's very like to PGP, but uses more reliable and efficient methods of compression and encoding. You have oppotunity to work with ECBackup from the command line but not only. ECBackup can be used for creation of backup copies of the confidential information instead of accident-sensitive pkzip, arj etc. ECBackup has a good degree of compression of your information - on the average in 1,5-2 times better than widely widespread archivers. The applied technology of open keys allows safely to store a public key on the disk and guarantees impossibility of restoring of your private key from public. The special program ECExchange, included in the package ECBackup, allows easily and reliably to interchange files and correspondence in open and unguarded networks (LAN, Internet).
