Thousands of conversions are possible, all in microseconds and with razor-sharp accuracy. You can use it to do all your conversions for you, or you can simply use it as an invaluable reference guide. UnitStar can give you formulas to convert between two units, as well as historical information about how that unit came into being. If you're travelling, you can produce handy conversion charts. These are in standard HTML format, so you can edit them, print them out, modify them, and even upload them. UnitStar is easily customizable, so if you ever come across a strange unit that UnitStar doesn't know, you can add it yourself.
